I downloaded what I thought was the lastest version of Incarnation as I have been having issues with images not showing up on pages etc. Updated to 4.0 and all of my plugins etc. I added the latest download of Incarnation and found that it was a copy of the old version. I have paid for this theme and need the update. Since downloading what I thought was the correct version, I have spent time and have now broken other formatting because of it because I still have the wrong version and now I still cant insert images etc
How can I get the latest version of Incarnation? And dont tell me to simply re-download as I already did that 3 times and found that its the same version I already have that is old. Please send me or show me a link to get it please.

I am sorry for your ordeal. I have made Kriesi aware of the situation and we shall get back to you shortly.

Where are you downloading from when on ThemeForest? I’ve heard once or twice where their site had an issue with the download link on the product page pointing to an old file but its never been confirmed.
Try going to your Downloads and then downloading the entire package from there. Then unzip the whole thing and you’ll be able to install that theme file inside as either the zip through the WordPress admin or over FTP.
You can check the version before installing by unzipping the theme folder and then opening the style.css file which has the version listed at the top.
We don’t actually have access to any download links for any themes. All purchases are handled through ThemeForest and support is handled separately through Kriesi outside of the Envato network. If you are still getting the 1.3 version from your downloads we would need to alert ThemeForest since it would be a pretty big issue if old versions of a purchase were being pushed out.

Ok, I downloaded the whole thing again from the original download section
and seemed to get the correct version 2.2. However, now I get the following
when I try to edit pages.November 3, 2014 at 8:29 am #345150
Could you please re-phrase the question. I believe you might have left out some essential parts to your question.

Ok, I downloaded the whole thing again from the original download section and seemed to get the correct version 2.2. However, now I get the following when I try to edit pages.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting T_VARIABLE or T_DOLLAR_OPEN_CURLY_BRACES or T_CURLY_OPEN in /home/content/66/11911366/html/new/wp-content/themes/incarnation3/includes/admin/register-admin-metabox.php on line 234
So now what? I put it back to the old theme version for the time being.November 5, 2014 at 12:25 am #346258
It looks like you have renamed the theme folder. It would be best to completely delete all copies of the theme from your WordPress theme directory and then download / upload a fresh copy to ensure none of your files are causing errors. After doing this you shouldn’t have any errors.
Also be sure to deactivate all plugins while testing. Let us know how that works for you.
