Having issues with broken image icons on the front page portfolio. You can view a screenshot here: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/694/coherencefail.png/
The images do not, as shown in the live demo, change to full color upon hover. Instead the broken image icon simply goes away. You can view the problem at my site, in progress, here: http://newsite.baitandswitchband.com I assume there is an issue with the generation of the desaturated/saturated images.
There is also another thread regarding this issue. It was not resolved. The thread can be viewed here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/homepage-portfolio-issue
I’m on Mac OS X 10.7.4, WordPress 3.4.1, issue presents itself in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Update: it appears as though the issue does not present itself with PNG files, but does occur when using JPEG files. Any ideas?
A couple of things: First make sure you have the most recent version of both WordPress and the theme installed. I believe coherence is on 1.1 at this point. You can download updates in the same way you first downloaded the theme files through your downloads on Themeforest.
Next, disable all active plugins and create a new portfolio item using a newly uploaded jpeg image. Test the portfolio item and see if the grayscale image is generated now.
Finally, if it is now generated, you’ll need to run this plugin to regenerate all the thumbnails again for the past portfolio items you have already uploaded: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
