    Good job on Broadscope!

    Can you tell me please, how do I get my Blog Overview page to show excerpts with a “Read More” button, instead of the whole post?

    I have tried

    – changing the settings of the “Blog” page template to “Blog Overview”.

    – changing the Reading settings WordPress to “Summary” instead of “Full text”

    Neither of these worked. I’m guessing it is something in the theme editor that I need to change, but have no idea what or how.

    Help please. Link to my blog page is: http://farizahsedek.com/blog/

    Thank you in advance!

    Solved it.

    1. Change loop-index.php

    Do what it says here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -entire-post

    Remember to copy everything from <!–meta info–> to <!–end meta info–>

    2. Open loop-page.php and save as loop-single.php

    Paste copied meta info after the </h1> tag

    Change <div class=’entry-content’> to <div class=’entry-content four_fifth’>

    3. Change single.php

    from: get_template_part( ‘includes/loop’, ‘index’ );

    to: get_template_part( ‘includes/loop’, ‘single’ );

    4. Change function.php

    Copy & paste somewhere:

    function excerpt_read_more_link($output) {

    global $post;

    return $output . ‘ID) . ‘”>

    add_filter(‘the_excerpt’, ‘excerpt_read_more_link’);

    Now my next question is:

    How do I make it so that instead of just the text “Read More…”, it is a button like the blog shown in the theme preview?

    That didn’t turn out right. Got the excerpt link thing here. http://codex.wordpress.org/Excerpt

    (Have no idea how to do the box thingie for the codes.)

    There’s an easier solution :) – just use the <!–more–> quicktag. See: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_content and http://www.tech-evangelist.com/2009/03/08/wordpress-more-quicktag/ for more details.

    Best regards,
