Hello, thank you again for your recent help! That said, it appears the issue doesn’t seem resolved and the previous feed was closed. I still can’t get the blog to show within the sidebar links, the site now seems “sluggish”, and some featured media never loads. I have updated the theme and wordpress, as recommended. Thanks for any information you can provide!

August 8, 2015 at 1:06 pm #484798Hi crkasprzyk!
can you explain a bit further please? because when I open your homepage I can’t see the issue. Maybe screenshots could make things clear to fully understand what you need (use imgur.com or dropbox).
Cheers!
AndyAugust 18, 2015 at 3:36 am #489228Andy,
Sorry for the delayed reply; I didn’t see your message until now. Sorry for the confusion – this thread may not be tied to the previous.
I am trying to get the “blog” link to show within the sidebar of my site. I updated the theme and wordpress upon recommendation. Following this, the site loads slower, and some of the “featured media” doesn’t load. I’ve provided links for pictures in the private data section.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
CoryAugust 19, 2015 at 12:40 pm #489992Hi!
your backend does not really seem to work well for me. I recommend to delete all theme files and get a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Before that you could also try to deactivate all plugins, to see if one is causing problems.
If you want a custom menu on your sidebar go to Appearance->Widgets and select “Custom Menu” widget into your sidebar.
Best regards,
AndyAugust 20, 2015 at 5:27 am #490534Thanks, Andy,
I deleted all theme files and replaced with a new one. I also deactivated the plugins, and updated to the latest wordpress. I’ve done a bit of updating since initially noting the problem, but this hasn’t changed the issues.
A custom menu isn’t what I’m seeking, but rather, for the blog to actually display in the sidebar. I currently have it selected in Coalition’s theme options. The featured media not loading issue also remains a problem.
Thanks for any other help you can provide!
CoryAugust 20, 2015 at 1:05 pm #490726Hi!
if you want to implement “blog” in your menu you need to use a custom menu as I already told you.
Cheers!
AndyAugust 21, 2015 at 2:53 am #491142Thanks for writing. The custom menu option yields an entirely different font (kriesi3.png). Coalition is used by many with the blog linked in the menu, achieved within the theme options (kriesi4.png). (Additionally, my “featured media” issue remains.)
These items have been a problem for awhile and I have followed all advice offered. Is there a way we can smoothly move past this and reach resolution? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help out!
August 21, 2015 at 9:48 am #491216Hi!
when you go to Appearance->Menu you will see this message: “Your theme does not natively support menus, but you can use them in sidebars by adding a “Custom Menu” widget on the Widgets screen.”
That is why I already told you that you need to build a custom menu using widgets. If you want a much more flexible and modern theme we definitely recommend Enfold theme to you.
What do you mean with “featured media” issue? this thread is called ” (Purchase code hidden if logged out) “. Please open a different ticket for a different issue.Best regards,
AndyAugust 21, 2015 at 3:04 pm #491425My apologies if I haven’t been clear. A different theme isn’t necessary for what I’m asking, though I regret not having something that is mobile friendly.
This being my second thread, I’m a little surprised by the issue existing today as I’m inquiring about something related to the default Coalition menu, as seen in http://crkasprzyk.com/temp/kriesi4.png When I ask for the blog to be displayed as it is in that picture, nothing happens. That is why I have cited this as likely not a custom menu issue; this is related to basic theme options.
A separate ticket will not be necessary and I have described all issues a few times. After updating in various ways, as recommended by those at kriesi, the featured media refused to load in numerous areas, as shown in http://crkasprzyk.com/temp/kriesi1.png To my knowledge, it was not an issue before doing as I was asked within these threads.
I hope this clarifies and works toward resolution. Thanks for your time.
August 24, 2015 at 2:14 am #491968Hey!
I added the blog link for you. Regarding the featured media, please try to deactivate all plugins then test it again: http://crkasprzyk.com/blog/
Cheers!
IsmaelAugust 24, 2015 at 2:25 am #491971Ismael, how did you do that?? It works perfectly! Thank you!!!
In either ticket/discussion, I wasn’t trying to be difficult. I greatly appreciate your help and welcome any thoughts on how I may avoid similar issues in the future.
Thanks!
CoryAugust 24, 2015 at 4:59 am #492008Hi!
You need to add another “Page Section” then set the “Section Link Behaviour” to “Link to page”. Select the blog page. That’s it. :)
Cheers!
IsmaelAugust 24, 2015 at 5:00 am #492009Beautiful! Thanks again!
