    Apologies is this is a repeat post or request – I have looked through the forums but can’t see anything similar. Please can you let me know the CSS required to make the left-hand navigation one solid, block colour, red for instance, and then have the navigation words in white text. I’m sure it’s possible to make the entire left-hand side of the page a single colour, I just don’t know how!

    You can add this on your custom.css

    .sidebar {
    background: red;
    padding: 10px;

    Thank you Ismael – please can you also let me know how to make the entire navigation side of the website one colour ie: red? Not just the navigation menu but that entire side of the site?

    Thanks so much for the great support.

    You can try following css code – add it to css/custom.css or the quick css field:

    background: #ff0000;

    Best regards,

    Hi Peter,

    Thank you for your response but I’ve tried that, the red only fills the navigation rectangle, it doesn’t fill the entire side.

    Any other ideas?

    Sorry to be a pain!

    Can you post a link to your website please?

    Any luck Peter – I’ve truly exhausted all my technical knowledge on how to do this?

    Yes, unfortunately you’re right. It’s not easily possible to create a red sidebar. The only solution I can think of is to use a backgound image for the .boxed #wrap_all element and to add a red strip to it. The image needs to be 990px (height can be 1px) and the (red) sidebar area 310px (260 + 30 + 20px). JJust repeat it along the y-axis and you’ll have more or less the same effect.

    Will give that a go, thank you.

    Please can you delete the url to the site I’m working on?

    Thanks again for your help.

    I deleted the post for you fastshow. Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Post resolved. Closing
