    Is it possible to create a blank page with only the background? I would like to create an intro page without sidebars, logos, menu, cart, and white background; only the background and add my html code to put picture and text.

    I thought to make a static html page but I’d rather do it in Abundance with the rest of the site if it is possible …

    Hi AlainTernet,

    Kindly open wp-contentthemesabundance and create a new file and name it: template-blank.php

    and add this code inside it:

    * Template Name: Blank Page
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html <?php language_attributes(); ?>>
    <meta charset="<?php bloginfo( 'charset' ); ?>" />

    <!-- page title, displayed in your browser bar -->
    <title><?php bloginfo('name'); ?> | <?php is_home() ? bloginfo('description') : wp_title(''); ?></title>

    <!-- add feeds, pingback and stuff-->
    <link rel="profile" href="" />
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="<?php echo get_bloginfo('name'); ?> RSS2 Feed" href="<?php avia_option('feedburner',get_bloginfo('rss2_url')); ?>" />
    <link rel="pingback" href="<?php bloginfo( 'pingback_url' ); ?>" />

    <!-- plugin and theme output with wp_head() -->

    /* Always have wp_head() just before the closing </head>
    * tag of your theme, or you will break many plugins, which
    * generally use this hook to add elements to <head> such
    * as styles, scripts, and meta tags.

    <style type="text/css">
    html, body{
    background: #000;
    color: #fff;
    margin:0 auto;
    position: relative;

    width: 930px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    display: block;

    <body id="blank_page_body">
    <div class='container_wrap' id='main'>
    <div class='container'>
    <?php if (have_posts()) : ?>
    <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
    <?php the_content(); ?>
    <?php endwhile; ?>
    <?php endif; ?>

    Just replace:

    background: #000;

    with the background that you want. You can access this in Pages > Add New and on the right side find Page Attributes > Templates, and select “Blank Page”. Put some content and publish it. Hope this helps. :)

    It works ! thanks !

    Hi AlainTernet,

    Glad we could help. :)

    …I spoken too quickly

    1- I created the template-blank.php as you say above and the new page with “Blank Page” selected as template. I named it “Frontpage4”

    2- I included some pictures and html code and a link to a shop category page

    3 – All is perfect if I click the “Preview change” button. Also, if I put this page “frontpage4” into a menu, all is ok too.

    4- BUT, when I set my frontage setting (into Abundance–>Theme option) to this page (frontage 4 instead of my old one frontpage3)

    that does not work anymore: I optain my blank page with the right background but the wrong text (it seem to display a blog post with LoremIpsum into my blank page instead of my custom html code and image !?)

    Does I do something wrong ?

    I can send you a login/pass if you want to look.

    Thanks !

    Try to change the Frontpage settings on Settings > Reading.

    Nice ! It seem to works great !

    Is it a bug ?

    Thanks !

    Hi AlainTernet,

    I’m not sure if it’s a bug. Anyway, Glad we could help. :)

    Thanks you so much for your help! It works perfectly :))))))
