    BrightBox is an awesome theme and I’m so excited about how the functionality is going to improve the site I’m building by leaps and bounds. I’m encountering a bit of an issue though. Looking through my CSS editor, I cant find any mention of a background image that creates the deep blue behind the header and footer. It occurred to me that you can do gradients with HTML 5 and CSS3, but even that is driven with CSS and theres no mention of anything like that going on, so I am a little bit confused as to how to begin customizing this theme and really molding it into the colors and design I need. Any advice?

    the blue background color is controlled via admin panel (Brightbox Option panel). You can change it in the “Layout and styling” tab. The gradient is an image:

    #header {
    background-image: url("../images/skin1/gradiant-dark.png");

    #footer {
    background-image: url("../images/skin1/gradiant-dark-reverse.png");

    If you want to remove it add following code to custom.css:

    #header, #footer {
    background-image: none;
