    hi i want to put a banner in the headline that should appear above my entry/page. i tried to put the html code in the specific field for this on the page/post editor but i realice that this field dont interpret the code. any idea ?

    What code did you add?

    Personally I’d set it up as a custom field and call it dynamically if there is a title added.

    Hey James i really like your idea but i’m just a beginner on this… can you tell me how is the best way of do what your telling me ? because i don’t know how to set up a custom field… thanks for your help.

    I’m not sure if I understood you right but I think what you try is to put an image into the additional headline field? If yes you need to modify header.php to accept html code.

    Just replace following code in header.php:

    echo '<div class="center">';
    if($headline != "") echo $headline;

    echo '<div class="center">';
    if($headline != "") echo html_entity_decode($headline);

    Please don’t modify anything else – you can even preserve the <h2>, etc. tags.

    Afterwards put something like:

    <img src="my-banner.jpg" alt="" title="" />

    into the additional headline field.

    (This issue was first discussed here. (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -to-the-additional-header )

    thanks a lot dude that was just what i want to do.

    Glad that I could help you :)
