    Hi guys!

    I truly love my Eunoia theme! I have everything set up and running, but there are some minor adjustments I need your help with.

    1.) Right now, the basic language of my theme is German (e.g. “Senden Sie uns eine Nachricht” or “Interessante Links”. I’d like to have everything in English and and maybe change some wording myself. Is there an easy way to do it or do I need a plugin?

    2.) Can I add a search field on top of my pages on the same level of my social icons? Ideally it has a style that fits to the Eunoia theme.

    I would like to make it possible to have users find specific content on my website.

    3.) I know this might have been discussed in this forum before, but I still haven’t found a way to solve the following:

    How can I get rid of the black letterbox on my Vimeo-videos? I’d love to have the frame of my videos the same size as the video itself. Is there a solution?

    Example: (Purchase code hidden if logged out)

    Thanks very much in advance and keep up the fantastic work!

    Best regards, Arne

    Hi Arne,

    1. If you want to change the language of WordPress please read this.

    2. For some reason, your website isn’t loading here :(

    3. Regarding that please check (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -in-portfolio”>this topic, (you’ll need to change the height property to the height of your videos).

    Hi Josue, thanks for the quick answer

    1. Thanks, I’ll try that and will come back to you

    2. Strange, everything is loading properly here. Maybe there was a problem with the server. Please try

    For 3: Then go to any item in the portfolio that has a movie.

    3. I tried these two ideas already, but then all the pics coming below the movie are cut off.

    Hi Josua,

    1. worked fine, WordPress is English now, THANKS.

    Now only 2. and 3. are left ;)

    Best regards!

    Hi Arne,

    2) In your WordPress theme directory please go to Eunoia folder and open Header.php file and find following code in line 153-154

    $args = array('outside'=>'ul', 'inside'=>'li', 'append' => '');

    and add following right under it

    include ('/searchform.php');

    If some CSS needed after it, let us know

    And please see these topics (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -in-portfolio#post-139678

    Hi Yigit,

    I added the code as described and double-checked it is there. But still no search field appears.

    What could I have done wrong?

    Sorry, I’m not a professional with HTML ;-)

    All the best,

    Instead of

    include ('/searchform.php');

    try to use the get_searchform function: – basically you just need to replace

    include ('/searchform.php');

    It worked, thanks!!! I have a search field on the upper left side.
    Last question to that: Is it possible to get that search field to the right?
    And is it possible to change the hight of it slightly? Could you give me an example here?

    And about the letterbox issue: There is no solution for my case, right?

    You can use this on your custom.css or Quick CSS:

    #searchform {
    float: right;

    You can adjust the padding to increase the height:

    #s {
    padding: 13px 40px 13px 10px;

    Adjust the 1st and 3rd values.

    Worked wonderfully, thanks so much for the great support!

    All the best and keep up the great work!
