How do I add a slider to the home page if the home page is the default “blog posts” since there isn’t an actual page/post to modify to add?

    Hi Mike,

    Kindly do these steps:

1.) Go to Flagship > Theme Options > Frontpage Settings. Set a page you will set as the Homepage. (If you have imported the dummy data, you can use the Welcome page)

2.) Go to Flagship > Template Builder > Frontpage and drag the elements you want to add in your frontpage. For more information on this, check out this site: and play the video tutorial with this title:

    Abundance Theme Demo 6:

Building improved layouts with the template builder

You may notice that the video is using a different theme, but its fine because the theme you are using and the one on the video has the same functionality as they are built on the same framework.

    Hope this helps. :)

    Thanks Ismael!

    Very helpful!

    Glad Ismael could help :)

I do sir. Under Flagship > Theme Builder > Frontpage it is blank like the screen shot below. I just created another template called “dynamic” instead. Is that ok? I am guessing that is cool.

Also, I made a new page…I added an image (just to test), selected the template on the right but it won’t show up on the page after publishing. Anything I may be leaving out captain?

    Thanks guys!

When you a make a template with the template builder you have to make sure to add elements to it. So when you click on Frontpage or your “dynamic” template that you made it should have items in it like Page Content or any of the others available.

Then when you add that template to a page, that page will use the “template” layout. If that template doesn’t actually show the slideshow or page/content then it will completely ignore everything you add in the visual editor or to the gallery (where you added that single image).

    Drum roll!

Makes sense! Thank you for your time! All good. :)

Glad I could help clear that up. You can do a lot of things with the template builder so getting comfortable with it is a must to get the most use from the theme.
