Hi!

If you mean the changes you made in Enfold theme options or your content, they are safe. If you modified theme files and are not using a child theme – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/, those files will be overwritten. If that does not clarify, please elaborate on the changes you have made :)

Hey,

Have you made any changes on theme files prior to issue? If issue occurred after updating the theme, please try re-updating the theme via FTP and overwrite all files – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

@pluckyknitter Could you please start a new thread under Enfold sub forum and attach FTP logins and WP logins in private content field so we can look further into it? CSS is not being applied. I corrected one issue in Quick CSS field but we would like to check style.css file as well. Editor is missing under Appearance tab, therefore we could not check it. If you post your credentials here, they will be visible to creator of this thread as well.
And since @jamesgeiger’s issue was resolved, we will close this thread. We will be waiting for your thread :)

Hi!

That would be too complicated as there are almost endless possibilities to integrate custom fields using ACF. However following would be helpful:

1- Please refer to ACF docs to find code examples – https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/
2- Since you are going to need to apply the changes directly on theme files, we recommend you to use a child theme – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/ so those changes would not be overwritten in updates.
3- For example, if you would like to display your custom field above “You might also like” in related posts section, you can simply right click and inspect elements on it and fine it’s class, in this case “related_title” – https://i.imgur.com/rkXbR7X.png
4- Then you can search that class in Enfold files to find the correct file and line – https://i.imgur.com/0LzqewP.png

Hey!

No, you would not need to redo your whole website. Your content and settings are saved on your database.

In cPanel you can go to file manager and you can go to wp-content/themes/ folder and update Enfold there :)
