@bluetype If you have replaced header.php file, you have applied permanent fix. Issue occurs on PHP versions older than 5.6. We have updated header.php file to make it backwards compatible with older versions however we still would recommend you to upgrade PHP version to 7.x. Please add following code to Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child theme’s style.css file:
#advanced_menu_toggle, #advanced_menu_hide { display: none!important; }It seems like you have modified enfold/header.php or enfold/includes/helper-main-menu.php file on your child theme. Since these files were updated, you would need to copy fresh copies and apply the changes once again on your child theme. That would be proper solution. CSS code i provided above would hide old mobile menu.

After activating Enfold child theme, i went to Enfold theme options > General Styling and added a space in Quick CSS field, just to make Save button clickable and then clicked Save button and that was it :)

I activated child theme and then saved Enfold child theme options to flush dynamic cache and that helped. Please review your website :)

If you have, please apply the same changes on latest version of the theme and move it to your child theme.If you have not, please try re-updating the theme via FTP and overwrite all files –

Alternatively, you can replace /wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php file with this one – https://www.dropbox.com/s/r389b5x4ippscyn/header.php?dl=0 so it would bring backward compatibility with older PHP versions.

If your other sites might be affected, please replace wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php file with this one – https://www.dropbox.com/s/r389b5x4ippscyn/header.php?dl=0. That would bring backwards compatibility and you would not need to upgrade PHP version. It is always better to use updated versions and here is a good read with comparison – https://kinsta.com/blog/php-7-hhvm-benchmarks/.
