Unless you overwrite your language file while updating, changes will not be effected. You can backup your file inside Enfold/lang folder. Yes you can translate every translatable strings using that plugin

Please undo the changes you have made via FTP. Sorry for not being clear. It is functions.php file inside Enfold theme folder. You can also edit it in Appearance > Editor
