If you did not make any changes on theme files, everything will remain the same. Your content is saved on your database. If you made changes on theme files, they will get lost. You can use child theme to avoid that – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/

You can go to Appearance > Editor and edit Functions.php file. But please keep in mind that if there happens to be a punctional error in the code, you are going to need to fix it via FTP.
