The thing is that the shortcode gets the search form and inserts it where you call it, so technically this part works, but the form is not surrounded with the correct html to be working as it works when you add it to the main menu and that’s why it is not a fully working solution.

You might want to go for a plugin to accomplish this or write custom code to have the search form there.

You should have the burger menu on the screens up to 990px, this can be changed in Theme options.

Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css,  if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css

You should be running at least php5.6.3 for the code to work properly, but better php7.

I see that the styles and JavaScript are not minified by Enfold, are you disabling it? Or they are just not working on your end.

Yes, you can show only 1 page of the products, like a grid of 12 or 16 or you can try the product slider instead, but the slider will not show all the products either, just the amount you specify in settings.

What is more important is what make more sense for your visitors and your business, Also very important making content display straightforward and easy for your users to perceive.

You don’t need to show all courses on the front page, show only featured and/or promoted and invite your users to other pages.

I took the steps you described above on my iPhone SE, did not have any problems, Home > Portfolio page > Web applications, tap on the Sfera Studios, ajax portfolio opened.
The same test on iPad gave the same result.
