The thing is, the image has an extra div with color that shows on hover, the column you’re trying to adjust just changes the opacity, that’s why you see it fading out a bit.

You need to update the file /enfold/includes/helper-main-menu.php with a fresh copy. That html should not be present in the header anymore.
