The theme does not add the break, it can happen if you press enter in the text editor, you can enable the Advanced Layout Builder debug mode. Here is how to do it:

and you’ll see if the breaks are there. Do you want us to have a look at the issue on your end?

The page does not have enough content and so it does not scroll and no way to test the effect. Please add more content to the page, so that it can be scrolled a few times.

Actually, there is an error in JavaScript and so the code does not work.
