    HI Victoria

    thanks for your response.

    I have managed to get somewhere in between for now, by adding the pages as a submenu. I may look at other plugins in the future, but for now, time is short so the submenu route will suffice.

    I have bookmarked the link that you suggest I look at – when I return to this, I will give you and the team a ashout if there any issues or I need advice.

    Please close this thread.

    Many thanks

    Hi all

    I’m now having server issues with my host, so going to hold off this investigation for a couple of days. I don’t want to be trying to fix multiple issues at the same time, as it may give false readings.

    I am having to go through disabling all plugins, switch to default theme and all sorts of fun and games at the moment, so I will pick this up later in the week.

    Thanks

    One other thing…

    if you publish a blog post as part of testing, please reset the status to “Draft” afterwards, so that it doesn’t stay visible to site visitors.

    Many thanks

    Hi

    thanks for coming back to me. It is OK to deactivate the plugins but as the issue doesn’t seem to affect the customer journey (just my processes), I would ask that you wait until after 6pm (gmt) today. We are promoting a major sporting event this week (last day today), so I wouldn’t want any unnecessary disruption.

    Ideally for me, if this could be looked into during night time (UK), that would be ideal, but I understand that you guys work around the world so cannot be guaranteed.

    Thanks.

    Hi

    thanks for getting back to me.

    I tried the solution you provided above but that didn’t quite match what I was after. I have added a mock-up at: https://imgur.com/a/X4JYK

    What I would like is for the deck of cards and the site name to be image, but for the tagline “Free Matched Betting for the UK” to be text within the site, preferably h1.

    I achieved similar using the above solution, but the tagline was below the header section. What I would like is for all of it to be in that section, on my site, effectively all being within the white section.

    The image itself will soon be changed – for a similar one – but I am still going to want the same effect.

    Thanks

    Hi Vinay

    Thanks for coming back to me – I implemented your code and it didn’t provide the the desired effect. I tried to attach a snippet but can’t, so to describe it…

    I had the logo in the usual left-side of the header, but alongside that, to the right, same line, I had:

    rt.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Header-No-Tagline-1.png”><<h1>Free Matched Betting for the UK</h1>

    Not sure where to go from here?

    Thanks

    Hi Victoria

    Thanks for your response. I have followed the instructions in that thread, but the results aren’t quite what I am hoping to achieve.

    The way that thread shows, has the tagline appearing below the header section, meaning when you scroll down (I did have the header static at the top), the tagline covers the content and simply looks awful.

    What I would like is a site logo in the header section, with an H1 tagline below the image, but still within the header section. I am switching off the static header to have a “normal” header that disappears when you scroll down the page (if that makes any difference).

    How would I achieve this with the Enfold Theme?

    Thanks

    Steve

    Yes I do – The ‘Tab’ feature in the Advanced Editor doesn’t work.

    When I go on to the Tabs section, the display appears corrupt and is incredibly difficult to edit. Not only that, but if I do manage to get to certain areas of the tabs that I want to edit, the changes aren’t being saved. I am finding this increasingly frustrating as this is something that I want to use on my site.

    I am using this feature on posts (Premier League Fixtures). Please can someone have a look and see what is going on?

    Thanks

    Hi

    I’ve not been around to respond, but one of the issues persists…

    Sometimes I am finding that the advanced layout editor doesn’t display properly resulting in me abandoning posts and starting again. The Tab feature does it quite regularly.

    This is typically if I am in a (blog) post and making changes, perhaps switching to additional CSS and then back to the post. I am unsure if others have reported similar issues? If you do want to investigate further, by all means – create a test blog post and use the template ‘Premier League Fixtures’, and have a play!

    With regards to the the CSS conflicts, I have managed to resolve this myself (not quite sure how!).

    Thanks, as always.

    Yeah, I suppose it would help to point you in the direction of the correct website wouldn’t it – only a billion or so to choose from!

    Sorry.

    Hi

    the css in quick css is:

    .custom-tab hr {
    margin-bottom: 0!important;
    }

    .alternate_color strong, .main_color strong { color: black; }

    .main_color a, .alternate_color a { color: #C66E6E; }

    .main_color a:hover, .main_color h1 a:hover, .main_color h2 a:hover, .main_color h3 a:hover, .main_color h4 a:hover, .main_color h5 a:hover, .main_color h6 a:hover, .main_color .template-search a.news-content:hover {
    color: #C66E6E;
    }
    #main strong > a {
    color: #C66E6E!important;
    }
    #main a > strong {
    color: #C66E6E!important;
    }

    Hi Mike

    Thanks for that. I did the clear cache but the issue persists on the blog posts page itself. Were you expecting what you did to work throughout the site, or just on posts?

    in reply to: Urgent Image and Link Issue #850703

    I have rebooted my router amongst other tests with my ISP and things seem to be working. For now, I don’t need assistance with this, but I will keep this ticket open just incase this happens again soon if that is OK.

    BTW, I now know what the %5B and %5D are – you learn something new every day!

    in reply to: Urgent Image and Link Issue #850690

    I have just noticed that on the link that I have included for you, the squared brackets have changed to ‘%5B’ and ‘%5D’. Could this be important?

    Hi Victoria

    Many thanks for the swift response!

    I have continued with the setup that you have provided, but one thing that I have noticed is that the vertical alignment of the text is inconsistent. I have tried a few attempts to control it without success. Any suggestions?

    Also, how can I find out the best dimensions to use for the images to the sides?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Rikard

    thanks for getting back to me.

    I couldn’t achieve exactly what I wanted to, so I kind of ‘mocked up’ the effect using images, which looks fine.

    Many thanks for your help and please close this thread.

    You are a star! Many thanks for that. I got the response on my phone and this is the first chance I’ve been able to log in and look. I’m glad it wasn’t staring me in the face!!

    I appreciate your assistance.

    in reply to: Blog Layout issue #770725

    HI Mike

    If you go to the site, log in and look at the member’s home page, you have the right sidebar. Click on Matched Betting – Blog and that is the blog page. It has the page id 2977.

    The old posts have the excerpt, whereas new posts don’t.

    **Important**
    I have rectified the sidebar issue. I cannot explain it, but I will try… the site was using the ‘blog grid’ template, but that page wasn’t published. Even though it was in draft form, the blog still displayed. I have amended that page to published, and the layout has changed to the correct one – now that it is a ‘proper’ page. I have also renamed it from 2977 to ‘matched betting blog’.

    I just have the excerpt issue to rectify – if you could shed some light on that?

    in reply to: Menu issues #753320

    Nikko

    many thanks for that – this is the sort of look/layout that I am after.

    Is there a way that I can order those pages in the order that I want?

    in reply to: Menu issues #750647

    Hi

    Can you look at this for me?

    I have made what I think are the relevant changes, but still the Categories and Archive are showing on the right sidebar.

    I am trying to make it so that there is only the Pages showing. I have had to resort to removing 2 of the columns in the footer to achieve this, but that is not an ideal fix.

    Thanks

    Steve

    Scratch the above for the newspaper image issue – I have resolved this.

    This topic can now be closed, but please do have a look at the WP Slider issue if you get a chance – it simply doesn’t work at all!

    Thanks

    Any suggestions for the newspaper images as above?

    Also, anything on the WP Slider not working issue? – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/layer-slider-issue-3/
