Hi Andreas,

Thanks for the update. If you don’t have, or can’t get access to a Themeforest account, then I think your only option is to purchase a new license unfortunately. If you don’t, then you will have this same problem every time you need to update the theme, or get access to the theme files.

I can’t really say anything about the problem you are having, unless we can have a look at your site. If you are not running the latest version of the theme though, then I would recommend that you try to update first of all.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. You should not update your child theme, only the parent theme. I can’t say if you are going to run into any problems unfortunately, but if you are worried, then you can upload the new version to a separate folder using FTP. After it’s uploaded, then you can rename the old parent theme folder to enfold_old, for example, and the new one to simply enfold. Then the new version should be active, and you can check if there are any problems on your site.

Hey Nissan,

I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.7.6.4) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

Please note that we don’t have official support for PHP 8 yet, so if you should keep on having problems after the update, then please downgrade to 7.x.

Hi Andreas,

Does your client have access to the theme files in a Themeforest account? If not then that is the first step you need to take. Either get login details for an existing account, or purchase a new license.

Thanks for the update. The mobile menu works on my end, but only after closing the popup which reads Zapisz się na newsletter i odbierz prezent !. Are you seeing the same behaviour?

Hi,

It should be safe to update your theme, but I would recommend that you copy the site to a staging site and try to update there first, if you are worried. After that then please refer to this: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. You might have to update WordPress to the current version as well.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the update. Buying a new license and registering it to your domains should not be a problem, you can simply replace the token in the backend of the theme. Please refer to the documentation I linked to previously.

I would recommend that you purchase the licenses directly from Envato/Themeforest, and not through a third party. That ensures that you have direct control over the theme files, in case something should go wrong in your relationship with the developer.

Hi,

Thanks for the login details. I’m not sure exactly how you would like to display the header on the home page though, could you try explaining a bit further? If you want it transparent then you can select that in the Layout menu on the right hand side of the screen, when you edit the page in question.

I’m not sure I understand what you are looking to change in the header on the site though, could you try to explain that a bit further please? If you set the header to be white, then your logo and menu will not be visible.

It should not make any difference, since they will added to the same CSS file once they are compressed. Make sure that you have file compression active under Enfold->Performance.

Thanks for reaching out to us. One license is valid for one domain, including sub domains. So in your case, you would need two licenses.
