Thanks for the update. Kriesi did explain why this was implemented in our internal communication channel:

The main reason is basically that it is long overdue since ThemeForest requires it from its authors, and I was asked to finally comply with this rule

But I do agree with you that we should be more transparent as to why this was implemented, I will create a sticky post which should hopefully explain this to all other users.

Thanks for that, we can view the page now. The 3/5 element which contains the contact form has the same ID as the tab section link, could you try removing the ID from the 3/5, or change it to a different ID please?

It would be great if we could access the site which you are having problems with, but all of the moderators have dynamic IPs, so I’m not sure if it’s possible? Would you be able to copy the site to a staging site which we can access?

If you want to do some debugging yourself, then please try disabling all plugin, and activate the parent theme, to see if that changes anything. Also please let us know which PHP version you are running.

I can’t tell you exactly why the spam comes through unfortunately, but Google reCAPTCHA should solve that. Is there any particular reason as to why you don’t want to use that?

Thanks for the update. I’m referring to the files in your child theme, not other themes. What you put into your child theme is up to you, but most of the files you are overriding in there, are not Enfold files. I’m guessing they are used to override something else.

Those are the only solutions which are available in the theme by default unfortunately. If you want some other method of stopping spam, then there might be third party plugins or code available?
