Thanks for the update. You shouldn’t have to deactivate the plugin, all that should be necessary is to turn off file compression under Enfold->Performance. I did that yesterday, and your site started working as expected then.

Please try this in Quick CSS for the question asked in private.

Are you overriding header.php or footer.php in a child theme? If so then please try to replace those files with the parent theme files, then add your customisations back in after that. If you need further help, then please post admin WordPress login details in private.

We don’t have any purchase records unfortunately. Who bought the theme license for you? I would recommend that you try to reach out to that person first of all.

Once you have access to the theme files, then the update to 4.9.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
