Are you running the SiteGround optimiser plugin? If so, then please try to deactivate file compression under Enfold->Performance, to see if that makes any difference. If you should need any further help, then please post admin WordPress login details in private.

We update the theme frequently, and I suggest that you try to update it a few times a year at least. If you don’t, unexpected things can happen in terms of compatibility with WordPress for example. You will also miss out on new features. Updates can be set up to appear in the backend of the theme, if you register your license: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

Thanks for the clarification. The theme doesn’t have functionality to remove or add content to search engine result pages, but I guess you can request the search engine to crawl your sites again? Note that they can be very slow in updating their content.

The theme license is valid for life, and all updates are free forever. What’s does expire or stop is your support license, meaning the access to our support forum. You can renew that whenever you feel the need to: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/207886473-Extending-and-Renewing-Item-Support. Having a valid support license does not affect your theme license in any way, and it’s optional.

We can’t debug/support very old versions of the theme unfortunately. Please try to copy the site to a staging site and update there first, then you can push the copy to your live site after that.

Thanks for the update. I’m not aware of any solutions like that unfortunately. Having an image better adapted to the mobile format is also an easier solution, which won’t require you to handle custom CSS for each section you want to adjust on mobile.

1. Yes, we’ve tested the theme using PHP 8.1.
2. The version you are currently running is very old, we can’t say for sure if something will break or not. I would recommend that you update on a staging site first.Best regards,

Thanks for the update. The same 429 errors are there when a default WordPress theme is active, which means that it’s not a theme problem. If it was, then all installations would have the same problem, and that is not the case. Please see screenshot in private to see all the error messages present when a default WordPress theme is active. Please try reaching out to WPEngine support again with this information.

The version you are running is not compatible with either newer versions of WordPress, or PHP versions. Please update to the latest version (5.1.1) first of all. The update to 5.1.1 has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

Thanks for that. The problem is coming from functions.php in your child theme. If you remove everything from there, the menu will show again. You can narrow it down more by removing your functions one by one, to see when the menu appears again.
