• in reply to: Cannot Update Theme to 4.5.2 to 4.5.4 #1071462

Thank you Victoria,
Can you tell me why the update is working fine for some sites but not for all of them please?
We have many Enfold installations and it will take us a long time to FTP into every site to replace files.
This was a bug to update 4.5.2 to 4.5.3. As we’re are now on 4.5.4, when will this be resolved as we would rather wait for the next update instead.
Thanks
Neil

How do we remove the download icon that now appears after upgrading to v4.4 please?
Thank you

in reply to: Remove Video Download Icon #964442

Hi Nikko,

We would be happy to update all customer websites and use the video element if there was an option for the visitor to view full screen.
Perhaps this would be an easier feature request instead of creating a patch for the text field as described above?

Thank you
Neil

in reply to: Remove Video Download Icon #964405

Hi Nikko,

I will make the changes however, we have noticed that the same issue is on other customers websites as well, after updating to 4.4.
I have opened a new thread for a different customer here: #963863)
Do we have to change all sites as this will take us a long time?

Thank you
Neil

in reply to: Remove Video Download Icon #963330

Hi Nikko,
I prefer to use the video element but it will not allow visitors to view full screen I am afraid.
I used the text block as it does allow fullscreen viewing but it automatically displays the download icon now.
I am using already.
I cannot find how I remove the download icon though.
Thanks

Hi Basilis,

The PHP version is 7

Can you advise on why the sidebar is not displaying correctly please?

Thanks

Hi Basilis,

Apologies but I have not got a clue what you are saying :) (I am not a web expert like yourselves).
What is a ‘staging’ and ‘PHP Version’ references?

Regards
Neil

Hey Basilis,

I have replied with the information you asked for. Have you managed to take a look please?

Hi Rikard,

We have been sent some code to enable a chat feature on the website and they have asked us to add it to the footer.php section.

Please see Private section

Thanks

in reply to: Add telephone number to logo area #906770

Hi Mike,

I tried different values to try and align the numbers and logo. Yes, 55px aligns them but when I scroll the page and the header compresses, the numbers are sitting on top of the header bar. If I could remove the large white gap above the logo and stop it from automatically shrinking when scrolling down, I could align them all and they would remain fixed.

Thank you
Neil

Hi Mike,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you :)

I cannot get it all to align horizontally but I think this is acceptable (hopefully?). http://www.uk-fire.com/

Basilis – this is how you do it :)

Thank you again..

in reply to: Add telephone number to logo area #905872

Hi Basilis,

I tried adding the number to the logo image before posting my question.

The problem is, the wider I make the image, the smaller the image appears in the header.

Thanks anyway
Neil

in reply to: Add telephone number to logo area #904950

Hey Mike,

Thank you very much for the code – really appreciate it. I tried the widget option but found the telephone number was not in line with the logo.

Your css code is fantastic though :)

Cheeky question – how do I display the telephone number on both sides of the page (or both sides of the logo), please?

Best Regards

in reply to: Inserting Bing Tracking Code #902904

Hi 2funky,

We had to edit the header.php and copy to the Enfold Folder as we kept seeing this message when trying to edit the functions.php file within wordpress – is this a hosting issue?

Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.

Thank you for your help with this..

Hey Jordan,

Thank you for your reply.

We are running the Enfold Child theme but we only see style.css and functions.php in the child theme editor section.

Do we edit the header.php file in the main Enfold section? I do not think we do?

Although there are many references to ‘how to install the Enfold Child Theme’ we cannot find any information as to how to actually make use of it :)

Regards

in reply to: Home page not displaying correctly after 4.2 theme update #870965

Hi Jordan,

Adding the following custom / quick css fixes it…

#top .av-video-slide .mejs-container {
width: 100% !important;
}

This I guess is only temporary until the offending script is identified and fixed.

Thanks
Neil

in reply to: Home page not displaying correctly after 4.2 theme update #870800

Hi Jordan,
I disabled all plugins but the issue remains.
There is also a cursor ‘timer’ in the centre of the screen so it looks like the theme is trying to load something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated please.

in reply to: Home page not displaying correctly after 4.2 theme update #870672

I have installed a child theme just in case but that has not fixed it. I have also viewed the site in two other PC’s and I can see the boxes on both.
Sorry to ask, but can someone have a look please?
I cannot see anything unusual with the homepage?

Update – I have spent a couple of hours on trying to find the problem. It appears that the screen is split into 2 columns now and the video plays on the left of the screen in a small box. I have deleted the full screen slider and recreated a new one. I have also tried the Easy Full Screen Slider and none of them work.

The screen should have centred text with smoke rising from the bottom.

It used to work great before I upgraded the theme.

Thank you
Neil

I have tried IE, Chrome and Firefox and I can see the boxes in all browsers. What browser are you using Jordan?
How do I add a screenshot please?

in reply to: Schedule Posts not working #866527

Hey Victoria,
We have removed all default themes to leave just Enfold.
Do you think it is a theme problem then?
I am a little nervous to switch themes as we have Enfold looking good and we do not have hours to restore the site if things are ‘not quite right’ when we switch back to Enfold.
Is there anything we can test without having to switch to a default theme?
Thanks

in reply to: Contact Form 7 and Google Analytics #865295

Hi Rikard,
Apologies for bothering you with this but to be honest, it seems a bit complicated for me :)
I need to insert the following code to Enfold to be able to track the contact form 7 events in google analytics. I am reading CF7’s instructions and they tell me to use the wp-head hook. I do not know how to do this – that is the problem.
CF7 Instructions – (https://contactform7.com/tracking-form-submissions-with-google-analytics/)

The code is:
document.addEventListener( ‘wpcf7mailsent’, function( event ) {
ga( ‘send’, ‘event’, ‘Contact Form’, ‘submit’ );
}, false );

I have created a child theme so I assume I need to add the code to the functions.php file – right?

Thank you
Neil

in reply to: Contact Form 7 and Google Analytics #864781

Hi Rikard,
I am struggling to understand the wp_head action and the correct code to insert in order to enable the google analytics code above.
Can you help please?
Thanks

in reply to: Contact Form 7 and Google Analytics #864723

Hi Rikard,

I have installed the child theme. I now have to either add the following code into the header.php (and copy this file to the child theme folder) or preferably use the wp_head hook as per Contact Form 7 instructions. (https://contactform7.com/tracking-form-submissions-with-google-analytics/)
Sorry, but I do not know what code I need to insert into the child themes functions.php file to enable this – can you help please?
This is the code I need to insert
<script>
document.addEventListener( ‘wpcf7mailsent’, function( event ) {
ga(‘send’, ‘event’, ‘Contact Form’, ‘submit’);
}, false );
</script>

Thank you in advance
Neil
