You’re either going to deep, or not deep enough with the class selections. For example, this works just fine for me:
a { color: red!important; } a:hover { color: red!important; }It may just be a matter of being more specific.

I adjusted the code to the following and should work, there was a “.” missing in front of the class:

What version of PHP are you running? If possible, please update it to PHP7 or as close to it as possible. Since you haven’t updated in a while this may be the root of your troubles.
